Bones

A short film exploring a non-binary person's relationship with themselves and their gender starring Seisha Butler, Violet Grace Fink, and Dominic McGrath. On the day Ren (Butler) is due to receive gender affirming care, they are stunned by the callous and cruel comments of a high-ranking politician dismissing anything outside of a cisgender identification. Tormented by a news-broadcaster-turned-devil-on-shoulder (Fink), they are forced to relive the emotional (and often, painful) moments that helped shape their identity. It is only through the steadfast support of their father (McGrath) and their own self-assuredness that they are able to pull themselves out of the endless spiral and reclaim what they know to be true: that they are as worthy of respect as anyone else.
